i just have a quick question guys: i cannot get lemmiwinks OR vag to connect..... im using a serial cable, everything is hooked up properly but neither will connect.......... for lemmiwinks i get a message saying "unable to establish connection to ecu"....

now i was reading 27psi's thread on it and how to get it to connect, like in removing the instrument cluster fuse, but would that do it?  ive spoken to a few that say you need to confgiure the COM port on the laptop 1st, so if anyone has any insight into helping me connect, fill me in.  thanx guys.

You have to verify whether that comp is being used by other Hardware/Software. There may be a conflict with that com port.

Start Tab>Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager>Scroll down to Com Ports>Select Com1 & Right-click on Properties>Check device status & on the Resource Tab check to see for any conflicts.

^^^ that thread talks about how to get lemmiwinks to work with the USB vag com..  You may want to look into pulling fuse 11 as well..

Keep in mind that pulling the cluster fuse [fuse 11] will signal an Airbag code...A word of precaution in re-setting this with VAG-COM is it may not be compatible and may activate the Airbag to deploy.

Please advise if anyone as anymore insight regarding this matter.

Thanks!
