You don't need low dust pads.  The Montes hide the dust ALOT better than the Aristos do  :face: .  But if you're asking so you can buy me pads, then all the power to ya.

DJ, where can one find those pads?

Thanks Pete!.

Damn those are expensive.  I'll stick to taking a few extra minutes to hand wash all the dust off for now. :face:

They are EBC Green Stuff pads

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html

I have heard that they are harsh on the rotors.

I don’t like how they look in red calipers.  The nasty red and green Christmas effect :td:

I have heard that they wear down rotors but I have not personally used them. So that might be :bs:.

Number of people said that the pads need some heat at first but when they heat up they stop like crazy.

No idea about the yellow ones.Smile

Mintex Red Box did me wrong.  They're okay, used 2 sets now.  But I've got major rotor warp problems.  Went through some zimmerman's in 20K, and some ATE Power Disc's in 40K.  Went ahead and had the ATE's resurfaced.... have some OEM Brembo's to put on next.  I'm gonna stay away from crossdrilled AND slotted for a little while.

Appearently I'm kinda rough on my brakes?

Anyway, I'll let you know how the EBC greenstuff's do.  Hopefully putting them on this week.  But I'll warn ya I'm doin' a bit of brake stuff all at once:
rotors, pads, brake fluid flush, clutch bleed, abs system bleed, metal caliper bushings.  So... I doubt I'll come back saying "they suck"... but gimme a few months and I'll tell ya 'bout wear & tear.  I hear they eat rotors too.  Figure I'll just buy cheap rotors and feed the pads well. ;)

i've just broken in my the EBC green stuff on my beetle.
it will definitely knock some teeth out if you're not paying attention while braking.
it's been 100+miles since i've had them on. they feel a lot better now that they're broken in.
didn't change rotors yet but i'm pretty sure after Watkins Glen this week, i'll need some new rotors.
so far not much brake dust.
and i got them from German Auto Parts.

Doh.  last minute deal came through, upping to 12.3" and EBC's.... won't be a very accurate breakdown.  And after the purchase I did alot of reading on how there's no big + to 312mm vs 288mm.  Just the big weight & inertia change. :/

Oh well, letcha know how they go.

The Tyrol bushings did pretty good.  But I've got crappy brakes now, was hard to really feel a difference unless I'm really on it.
