Upgrading to one of these turbos would require you to get BT SW and this would involve bigger injectors, MAF housing, and possibly a fuel pump.

Don, would APR 93 software work with one of these turbos?   For instance, the R?

Yes it would...but a diode or a voltage clamp would have to be used to maintain boost levels which turn give you the extra power...

i dont understand why you would need the diode? why couldn't you just use V-Tune to modify everything there?

I would advise AGAINST using APR 93 specifically with a bigger turbo.  The timing run by this software gives you huge timing pull above 4.5K rpm. (when using a diode)  At least that's what I've seen in my logs.

APR 91 works a little better, but is still not that great.

I current have a full APR ecu stock/91/93/100 and have given most of them a try with my GT2871R.  91 worked the best for me.

Oh, and I'll try to get that pic of my IC piping to you Don.  Things have been a little nuts just recently. Leaving to go get married next week in Punta Cana so I'm up past my eyeballs with things to do.  It's all painted satin black anyhow so I don't know how well a pic would even come out.
