Here's the ride. This little f()cker goes through tires about as quickly as a box of doughnuts at a fat girls house. Nothin like a genuine power slide.  :evil3:  All the good stuff still has yet to go on.

I can feel for ya on the house draining of funds.

Better photos in the future. If I ever clean her up. Remember this is a work car that replaced a TDI mileage/highway eating monster. The deal for this car was just too sweet and now I find myself sucked into the 1.8T phenomenon.

I'll be a nice guy and post in a non-aggrevating way.
Mods: APR DPP- stock, 93, 100, valet, code erase, TB alignment ( all bought well below MSRP at GMP's barbeque last year). And finally a column mounted (props to Snow2003GTI) VD0 boost/vacuum gauge.

Oh, and a continuous 55 gal drum of Sunoco GT 100 under the rear deck steps. I figure after 28 drums I will have spent enough to have bought an APR 3+ or........ Honestly I've only bought one. When I make trips to urban areas, Petro Express stores sell the Sunoco GT100 right next to the good 'ole 87 style. I use it about once a month. Or so.

hello gents,  i was wondering where the bulk of the ?ID=27 forum went.  i'm still on the stock turbo w/ bolt ons for now.  been slowly building a kit from the classifieds while still trying to save for a DP on a home.  being responsible's really keeping my car slow  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad

I remember when this site first started and there was a lot of traffic in the PR0N section    beer

I've got an APR Stage3+ kit sitting in a box, but it will probably get sold with the 03 GTI.  My eyes are set on a new 2.0T FSI motor in the next few months.

Lotsa familiar names on here!

Rob or trendy tramp from UK.  I work for an OEM vehicle manufacturer developing engine systems (turbo/intake/exhaust/valvetrain etc) for passenger Diesel engines.

Built a dual charged mk2 1.8T which I'm sure you all have seen

Spec is.
Wide port 20V head - lightly ported
Std. bottom end with OEM forged rods and TT pistons (reduced CR)
Std cams - proposed uprated cams & valvetrain in future
ATP exh mani - if I get time I'd like to design my own (been saying this for 2 years now  argh )
T38 Turbo Technics turbo (their own compressor casting)
Apexi boost controller
Aftermarket ECU
Eaton M62 charger with electromagnetic clutch to turn off when turbo is boosting
Boost systems in parallel to reduce system compromise in terms of charge air ducting and intercooling
2*fuel rails (can't remember specs off top of my head)
4 bar FPR
boost gauge, EGT, LM-1

plenty of chassis mods which I can't be bothered to list - ask if you have any Q's

recognise a lot of you from vortex, look forward to reading some interesting threads on here  beer

cheers,
tt

Hello to all

I've been introducted to the site by Don himself. I make a few after market parts for VW's along with Hondas. Along with 1.8t swaps for the locals in my area. You can check out pg 4-5 of my link to see some of my work.

hope I enjoy the stay.
