Why didn't you get a T25/T28 flanged one?  Woulda saved you the hassle of usin' those pesky adapters.

i agree... unless you're running stock turbo... why not get t25/28?

Is that from Clay? -- also, that bolt does worry me.... but hte rest of it looks nice and beefy.

EDIT: apparently it is from clay, didnt' see your reference to him.  He has a good price on those IIRC.

i was running atp stg2 and upgraded the turbo to the RS in the R housing. this is why i'm still on stock location. i don't have the money to do a DP, TIP and Mani, so this is the option i went with for now. hopefully in a few weeks i will know the results of this mani over the stocker.

whats DNR, diz?

yeah the r/rs upgrade. I am only seeing about 18.5-19 psi at 4300 rpms to redline. Currently running E05 program hopefully that will be changed before the week is over.

I have a MBC set at 24psi from the 28r and I could get it to spike 24 hold 20 with that turbo. I made no adjustment to the valve but it was only hitting 18-19 psi. Not sure if it is the crap software or not.

maybe the .64a/r would be better?

i don't see why we have trouble boosting over 18-19psi?

I like the power range I have now over the 28r. I am running the E05 program right now and am considering the REVO software.  Deff be interested to see how the .64 would work as well.

it won't go over 18-19psi at the moment. I want to see it at 20psi and 22psi figure it is all riding on the sw right. prb run a diode but just not convinced that the motor will hold up with the E05.

Heard that you had an issue with your motor after putting on the r/rs?

03slvrstone, i PM'd you

anyone else thinking its the s/w holding us back from seeing boost over 18-19psi with this r/rs? or is the .86a/r to big for the compressor side?

i don't have any numbers yet. but i can tell you its faster then the r was.

i'm thinking two (edit: possible) reasons, both obviously not mani flow capability Smile

1.  the compressor is choking due to the reduced size inlet flange.  IIRC the standard issue RS has a larger compressor inlet, even though the housing on the r/rs should facilitate more flow, it wont matter unless it can get in there.
2.  software

I don't think is the comp. chocking due to the fact that ATP did not come out with this...This is a replacement turbo for the 300zTT motors...they made the housings slightly smaller to fit under the hood of those twin turdbo beasts...

I think it is a combination of the manifold/sw!!!
That is just my opinion though :driving:
