Was just wondering if anybody had any feed back on past models, etc. I have never owned a Jetta. There's enough of them on the road, I'd assume that they are noice, my uncle and cousins swear by them, but since I'm new to dubbing and jumped in with a Passat, I was just wondering if anyone had some kudos for this car or if there were probs anyone knew about. I think I will enjoy this---> :driving: Off to find some coffee now, let me know what ya'll think.

There is one girl on here who has a new GLI. It's definetly a tight car. As far as I know of, there hasn't been any kinks with the GLI's as of yet. VW got most of the jitters out of the MKIV's with post 2003 models.

Good to hear, we bought it yesterday! Wow, what a sweet ride. I am still partial to my Passat but that thing is NOICE! I'll post pics soon!

Sweet. Glad to see you got it in the best color that they come in!! You're going to keep the liscense plate where it is right? I'm suprised the dealer didn't drill that sucker right into the bumper.

Oh yes, the plate stays there. We got lucky with the plate left in the trunk. It didn't even make it to the detail shop (saved some green there, not much but some). Yes, the color is quite nice. My cous has the same car only black and it's just not the same. Dooon't get me wrong. The black is hot. But you can see all the curves on this baby tho!!!  |

I think that washintonians are supposed to have the drill holes too! Whatever! Cousin's got the same set up, only the dealer drilled it before he had the chance to say NOOOOOO.  Ongoing debate: WHAT IS THE BEST COLOR???? LOL  |

Though, if I ever get stopped, I'll tell the cop that I'm waiting for VW to get the plate holder because I have the euro bumper and the plate holder can only be shipped in from Germany. If worse comes to worse, I'll just zip tie the sucker there. |

yeah you need a front plate in Ny. I didn't have one for the longest time then a new young trooper started in the area. Pulled over every other day for no plate.  So I modified the front plate holder(drilled some holes in it) and zip tied it to the lower grille.  |
