Well everyone, it is back to the testbed for me.  Same rules apply as to the last time I tested VTune ...

- 3rd gear WOT runs
- ambient in the 70s

A couple things have changed, however.  The setup has changed to totally bypassing the N75J valve and using a MBC from boostvalve.com (thanks again Ric !!).  The setup I used is not listed on the website (last I checked at the time of this posting).  The pressure line is input into the bottom of the MBC and the output to the wastegate is connected to the "side" of the boostvalve.  The N75J is electrically connected and still resides in the hole for the N75 in the Samco TIH.  The screw was turned ALL THE WAY DOWN for these tests.

The other change is that I used ECU Explorer to obtain the data.  This allows the curves to be more accurate since more data points are obtained (compared to VAG-COM which is the logging tool I've used in the past).  ECUX allows me to collect almost 200 data points in a 3rd gear WOT run, as opposed to ~30 data points using VAG-COM (my LP ECU does not allow for use of the "turbo" sampling rates).  You'll notice one of the curves is slightly choppy - this is a product of MS Excel trying to apply the smoothing algorithm for the line.

So, enough babble, here are my results ....

The car registered no DTCs in either setting of boost.  I can't comment on driveability etc since I installed the product for this test.  I can comment on this after I drive around for a week or so in this setup.

I never hit limp mode either in any of these runs.  I have a "modified" boostvalve which has a small vent hole drilled in the body of the valve per Ric Gillis' recommendation for quicker valve reaction after shifting and returning to WOT.

this were done with a FMIC right?

the actual 100% looks good, especially up top.

so is it pulling timing at peak boost? just trying to figure out how to read the graphs.

thanks for posting.

its more like 22 or 23 psig

2500mbar= 2.5 bar
2.5bar = 36.75 psi
36.75 psi = 22.05psig

i know its alittle over 2500 mbar, but that just gives you an idea.

Does V-Tune automatically come with APR DPP? Or do you have to purchase it seperately or just order it and its included with the price one paid for DPP? Or does one have to have the only EMCS have it?

V Tune only works on DPPed ECU's, and you have to make sure the DPP file you have is V Tune enabled.   I don't think they charge for the software though.
