OK I have a crappy situation, and several questions that I cant seem to find the info on...
1) I owne a 2003 Jetta GL with the 1.8T (AWP) and a Manual Trani
2) I found two trani listings for my Jet, EHA or EXE, How can I tell witch is witch, and what is the difference...
3) OK here is the problem... I was at a stop light and let off of the clutch and the car stalled like I had it in 5th. Didn't lunge or nothing... When I started the car I tride to put it in first so I could get it off the road, and it would not go into first. So i put it in reverse then back to first and then it went in to first, so I drove it to the side of the road... on the way there the car made a massive grinding noise... On the side of the road I proceeded to rev the engine while the car was in neutral to see if the noise persisted and it did not. So I checked for external physical damage, my break fluid, and for leaks. Again nothing there... so I got back in the car, removed the ebreak and rolled down this slight hill with engine running and car in neutral. I felt like something was catching in the drivetrain... after pissing with it I got the car to go back into first and drove an 1/8th mile, were it made this god offal grinding, to a parking lot were I called a town truck...

Any help would be great as this car is new to me and I know very little about my Jetta
