I am installing a standalone EMS in my 1997 Audi A4 Quattro (manual)
I have a crank sensor which has 3 wires (1.6v, 1.6V and ground)  is this a VR sensor which simply has two wires tied together for the sensor signal?

The cam appears to be a hall sensor.  3 wires,  1st is 5v constant, second is either 12v or 0V (zero volts when the window passes the magnets)

then there's what I believe to be the VSS.  I located this on the drivers side of the transmission just above the axle.  This sensor has only two wires.  ground  and then an 8 volt/0 volt which changes from 8 to zero FOUR times for each axle revolution.
Is this a VR sensor?

Also,  can anyone explain how to determine whether you're rising edge or falling edge trigger on these sensors,  or more specifically,  how are they wired in the stock ECU's harness.

thanks,
Kyle,  FL
