I heard that the old 2,2lt audi turbo engines have 23mm wrist pin and that we can use the rods and the pistons since they have the same size as ours. I find out that the rods are 144mm but have no info about the wrist pin and if the pistons can be used too.

WHy  huh

If you power goals are that high that you need to open the motor then use the proper stuff

IE rods , Scat was taken to 500+ whp even a lot more no problems , That include the OEM Pistons

now a days you can get Rod , pistons that are rated very very high for good prices , QED , http://www.intengineering.com/ etc etc

Again I replied to one of you other posts as well , only one way for getting high WHP and thats $ and doing it the correct way

Trust me , all the money spend on guys selling me S##T I could have build a 1000hp car by now LOL  yes

Well the idea came because I have the specific engine in my fathers garage which has only done 20000 km after a rebuid.so I thought to use the parts. My goals are about 350 hp without spending a lot of money.

Are we talking about the 2.2 l 5 cylinder Audi motor

Not sure but i think

1)You will have a problem as you head have got 5 valves per cylinder and that one only 4 (so the piston is out)
2)Rob is out because you will have to mach it to a piston that can accomidate the 5 valves and 23 mm pin (NOT)

so best is to upgrade to one of the sets currently available from one of the  (Forum advertisers)

Yes this is the engine but the olde version with 2 valves pes cylinder.

I thought that the piston is flat and that it would fit
