Hello,
I have bought the greddy profec e-o1 e-manage programmer boost controller and thinking about to buy the e-manage piggy ecu. With the comtroller you can programme the ecu.
Has anuyone experience or tried it out to work the ecu with the e-manage?

What is you power goals , and mods I have tried it all,, started with it and, at the end (after a lot of money and time) a tune from Unitronics etc is the way to go OK basically and I am sure you know what the piggyback system do , Piggyback ecus by nature are incapable of controlling a modern day OBD2 ecu (no harm intended to all the company’s out there ) with highly adaptive fuel and ignition correction routines. Piggyback ecus generally attempt to enrich or enlean the final fuel output by tricking the stock ecu’s air flow meter or pressure sensor voltage. This is fine and dandy, but if you tweak your air flow setting, you are also tweaking the timing at the same time (not good). To make things worse, the stock ecu takes readings from your O2 sensors and slowly trims the fuel map to change the fuel output to match what it is SUPPOSED to be. To make things even more worse, many of the newer engines come with wideband O2s so now the correction ranges are much broader and corrections occur even faster. Some PIGGY BACK ecus actually control your coils/ignitors which is a general step in the right direction. However, some of the Piggy Back’s just trick the stock ecu by retarding or advancing the cam/crank triggers to retard or advance timing. Newer OBD2 ecus are highly adaptive with ignition too. The stock ecu takes a knock count from the knock sensor and continually retards timing until there is no knock Its a great product , played with most of them , and some guys are very successful ,you must understand the problems and if you want more detail PM me Just ask yourself this question . If it was so good why are ALL the guys not using them ?? the boost controller is good i AM Using Apexi unit but again it is not just a case of turning up the boost hopes it helps , Jeronkie

Well my goal is about 350 hp. My car is a new beetle 1,8t which is chiped with a bastuk cat back 63,5 cm exhaust, k&n filter panel, and greddy profec b spec2. The electric is from the AVC engine and the engine is the AUM.the turbo is the stock k03. Since I am thinking to put a bigger turbo I think this way I will save money from buying software when I will upgrade/change later the setup.

If your car is chipped I don't see what you will gain with the piggyback, later if you build a big T 1.8 go with full software .
good reliable power cost money , rather save longer and do it proper (take it from a guy that learned it the hard way)
Nice setup, Keep us posted

Why don’t you listen, you need money to build big turbo high HP car, I have asked a lot of questions and that’s how you learn but then you need to listen . You literally get hundreds of t3/t4 combinations what AR what manufacturer etc etc ,more info , You will need manifold, down pipe, boost pipes, injectors, inline pump, BIG TURBO FILE , internals .and the list go on and on and on . . . . Do your homework and use the search function

LOOK I am going to say it ONE more time . It is a very very good turbo for a Paper weight , or fix it to a piece of wood and give it as a prize for the guy that came last in a Big race ,,,again no harm intended , see they sell the entire turbo for between $250 and $350 Now think for one moment why most of the guys (that make power) use Turbos that cost $1250 and $1500 , If it was that easy every one would have used it,,,,It looks like you want a cheap way to get HP , AGAIN you do not get cheap Hp and if you get it it wont last .. I am again going to say it ,,save some money and get the proper stuff ... THAT'S THE ONLY WAY
