Good morning,
I had a hearing s3 quattro of 2003. It is a model not sold in the U.S. but who possesses the same engine that audi TT quattro 225HP.
I live in New Caledonia in the Pacific, which is not easy for us to have documentation therefore I can post on this forum which seems very competent mechanics and especially on the 1.8T VAG.

I'd like to make an engine 400WHP Twisted Evil Twisted Evil So what are your advice in order to achieve this one:
- turbo?
- stroker kit eurospec or other ?
- turbo manifold and downpipe ?
- M800 engine management or other motec ?
- miltek exhaust or other ?
- other ...... ????

I said that it is a project on at least one year because the money does not fall from windows ...
In addition, it should be that the car is streetable
Thank you for your advice

Hi Hope you are doing well

I have got an 2003 Audi S3 (225 Quattro) with GT30R and all other possible mods

You have got a few problems

1)   Difficult to go the stand alone management route due to the Quattro uses some of the inputs and outputs of the ECU ,,but the 630 file from Unitronics will let you keep your ECU / Quattro /dash functions etc ,,,and make more than enough power talk to DON R
2)   Due to the Quattro most of the branch type exhaust manifolds except log style won’t work ,,but it can be done and I will send you some pic if you want PM me
3)   Lots of guys say a lot of things regarding the exhaust and the space on the Quattro  ,,,,my downpipe and exhaust  are 3 inch and clearance is no problem
4)   The motor is strong you only need to change the rods (pistons /crank etc very strong)
5)   Depending on your budget,,,, The head/cams will give a few more horses  ,,,,talk to BOBQ he will give you all the info regarding small port vs big port and all the cam options
6)   Intake manifold ,,talk to DONR or SEM motorsport
7)   Turbo is a difficult one ,I went for a GT3076R but GT3071 and other are also very good depending on what you want to do (hp/lag/boost)
Cool   The two small intercoolers on the car heat soak very fast , I went for a big front mounted one

Hope this could answer some of your questions  PM me if you need more info

I forgot to add

Most of the guys on the Forum make some good HP    icon_thumbup1  and know the difference between the front and  the back of a 1.8t motor lol lol   Very Happy  so the guys I mentioned are not the only ones , search the Forum and do lots of research before you decide on anything   icon_headbang

thank you very much for the answer.
So it is better to keep the ecu with unichip, the motec is too complicated to assemble ...
for the turbo manifold do you recommend a brand and the downpipe?
what is best for a max boost  3000tr/min and peak power 7500tr/min
What power you have on your s3?
I ve many photos MP and thank you again for the answers.

I would leave it 1.8L, and put in a set of IE 144 x 20mm rods (intengineering.com) with factory pistons. I'd use an elring head gasket with factory head bolts. I'd use a big port (AEB) head if that car isn't already, with a set of supertech inconel exhaust valves. Stock valve springs will do unless you really feel the need to spend money. I'd put in a set of cat cams from bob qzzi (qedpower.com), and use one of the new SEM intake manifolds.

I'd either use one of Ed @ forcefed's (he is also a sponsor on here) smaller turbo kits- something with a 3076r, or a cast setup from arnold @ pagparts. Lastly, I'd use a set of 630cc @ 4 bar and a bosch 044 pump inline with the factory gear. We (Integrated Engineering -intengineering.com) can also supply the injectors and pump at a *very* competitive price and we ship internationally ~daily. I'd use a unitronics chip for your existing ECU IF its available, i'm not sure what ECU the S3's used. If not I would either go an autronic SM4 or a "lugtronic" from kevin black AKA lugnuts, he will get you something pre configured for a 20v with competent wiring instructions so that it is a snap, not a nightmare.

This setup will give you a conservative, reliable 400whp without rolling up and smoking as much money as possible- Everything I have listed has been tested and proven in cars making over 400whp on pump gas.
