Took my car up to Limerock this past Friday for my third track event this year.
Had a great day, it was super cold when we got there but it warmed nicely as the day went on.
I ran in Intermediate 1 which was a lot of fun! I still have TONS of areas to work on but had some good moments nonetheless.
Since the last video I posted of the car at Limerock the following work has been done:
removed almost all of the interior (including sound deadening on the floor)
installed an Autopower cage.
Installed brake ducting & Castrol SRF fluid.
Switched to 17" OZ wheels & Nitto Nto1 tires.
removed AC.
The car ran well for 2 sessions but struggled in the later parts of the day with some severe missfire issues. It also had boost issues. Exiting the diving turn & rolling on the throttle entering the main straight (in 4th. gear) The car would randomly only make 10 psi of boost, once I shifted into 5th. it would make 26-28 psi.
The video is from session 2, before the problems got too severe. We managed to pass some fast cars! There were quite a few people that came over between runs asking what the hell it was.
I can't wait till next year, got quite a few projects in the works, some of you are already involved........ next year.
