I have been mulling over what to do about my engine rebuild ( :ahhh:pictures on damaged engine below)  and I am toying with a 2.0 L stroker kit with a QED ported and polished head and GT3076R turbo and APR's Motorsport intake manifold.  I currently have a stage 3+ kit installed but the turbo is seized as a result of metal fragments entering the turbo from the engine.  This has all occurred because the valve seat (i believe) fell into the combustion chamber.  The head is toast and 1 piston is toast.  I believe the block is fine.

I have been looking at the Eurospec Stroker kits but I would welcome any and all thoughts on the engine build and turbo replacement.

Thank You in advance!

Carl

Now for the dirty photo's

QED could just build your stroker motor instead of going with eurospec.

Can you give us a ballpark price on how much it's going to run?

About $1800 for new FSI crank with proper oil pump gear, Scat rods, and QED/Supertech Pistons. Pauter or Carrillo rods will be available as an upgrade.

I would be very interested in this setup.  I would assume the power handling of this setup would be comperable to the Eurospec Sport Stroker kit?  I will definetly be purchasing one of your heads, and it would be very convenient to purchase everything from one source.  When do you expect to have the stroker kits available?

Thanks

I'd like to think that my stroker kit would be superior because it uses an OEM crank and better pistons.  In addition, I don't think Eurospec currently offers a 92.8mm stroke crank.
Of course, complete engines can be built on a custom basis.
