Hey Bob,

or anyone else that can shed some light.  Just got word from my machine shop that my stock AWP trigger wheel is not bolting up to 92.8mm eurospec crank...apparently only 2 of the 3 holes are lining up...anyone have info please.

thanks in advance!

I don't know anything specifically about the Eurospec crank- I do know there are 2 bolt patterns for trigger wheels- the 1.8T pattern and the one for earlier ABA engines.

What code engine are you working with?  Shortnose 058 style crank, or long nose 06A with the oil pump gear on it?

Sorry OT Bob, but can an ABA block be a straight swap for an AMB engine block (same engine mounting, bolt-up points, etc)?  Thinking about buying a used ABA block and crank then boring bigger than I have now on my AMB block (82.5mm now)

No, not even close.  It is completely different.

Thought you had an AEB

Shoot...  I think Issam is doing something with an ABF block.  It has mounting points for longitudinal.  But isn't the oil pump driven with something other than a chain like the AMB block has?
