Hey everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that I just got an ATP GT2871R eliminator kit. I know this is not the absolute best set up but I could not resist the price. I got the turbo, large inlet pipe option, 3" MAF, 440cc green top injectors, high flow stock style exhaust manifold and 255 fuel pump, all brand new, for $1600 and free shipping!! I'm doing the install along with my forged rods and pistons I got in May. I'll soon be getting a 3" exhaust and unitronic software to complete the kit. I know this is no big deal to you all but I'm excited and just wanted to share it with you all. Feel free to give me feedback. I'll update this thread with pics and how the install is going when I get to putting it all in.

I need help selecting a unitronic file. I have green top 440cc injectors (what came with my kit). Should I buy 630cc and get that file? Seams like a lot of people like that one. Or would that not be a good one for the set up? I want to eventually run 23+ psi. Not sure what file would be good for a gt2871r eliminator kit. Thanks.

440cc injectors will be good for the Eliminator.
If you ever plan on going bigger than an eliminator then get the 630cc injectors.
Both files work well with the Eliminator.

The 440cc file is now called the 415cc/440cc file. It was completed in december of 2006. It works ok with greentops at 3bar. still a bit of funky idle and mild backfires. But with the Genisis 415cc injectors at 3.5bar the issues all disapper.
the 415/440 file is good for smaller turbos (2871 and down) and the 630 file is good for all turbos. The 630cc file gives the customer a LOT more room to grow.

Yanked out my turbo and mani yesterday. Here are some comparison pics. P.S. not sure why they're so big.

Has anyone run the 630 file and an atmosphereic blow off valve? Just wondering if it has caused any problems. A blow off valve would greatly simplify my intake plumbing. Thanks.

Got my car running tonight. Its nice, defiantly a different car. Lot less down low, lot more up top! But of course, I have a problem. My car idles like absolute crap. RPMs hunt up and down like crazy. The rpms dip so low some times it almost dies. When I drive it, going into a turn or coming to a stop, I push in the clutch and the rpms drop and the car dies. It starts right up fine every time though. It runs very strong up top. I had some worries about the fuel line kinking with my new ATP 255lb in tank pump but wouldn't the car not be so strong up top if that were the case? Another thought is that I bought my new 630cc siemens on ebay. And I did go with Unitronic 630 file. Car runs perfect accept during idle. Any suggestions?

I did go atmospheric, but I had the idle probs so I recerced it and it still had the problem. I did unplug the MAF and it seamed to have vary little effect. I checked the codes today and found PO300 and 302. Seams to be a misfire in cylinder two. I'm gunna start diagnosing here in a little bit. Maybe a coil, plug, or injector. Coils are pretty new though. My plugs have about 30,000 miles on them but they are iridiums. Injectors are new but ebay. Still open to any ideas. Thanks for the input!

I think I fixed the problem. I began with the coil. I removed my 034 motorsports metal engine cover and switched coil #2 and 4. Cleared the codes. Started it up and it ran fine. I drove it for awhile and it doesen't die at all. The idle still has a few minor blips every now and then but it is MUCH better than before. My guess is the #2 coil wire was shorting out on the engine cover or there was just a bad connection. But it seams fixed for now. Hopefully.

Cool. Yeah, ive noticed that if im not careful to click the connections together fully, then they have a tendancy to back off.

Just to let you guys know, I've been gone for some time. I sold the car for a 2005 Pontiac GTO that I built to a 7.0L, 500 hp. This car and build was one disaster after another. I sold it and got a truck. Now I am itching for a sports car again. I'd really like to get back to the dub scene and I've got my eye on an Audi TT 1.8T. I'd always wandered what a 1.8T would feel like hooked up to all wheel drive. Hopefully I will know someday soon. It seams like this forum slowed down a good bit. Any reason? I plan to stop in more and I'll def keep ya'll updated on my TT dream haha.

Hi
my problem was this , the more power you make the more you struggle to put the power down to the road with a FWD
My golf 4 lost traction very soon and in most gears , now with my Audi S3 the more I make the more fun it gets ....
the Haldex systems are very good , drive it normal it only pulls in Front give it power and the rear will engage.
