Hello

I recently(August06) bought a Corrado with a 1.8T conversion. I worked on it until November and ended up with a thrown conecting rod within 24hrs of getting it legally on the road. That's the short version.

As a result I have rebuilt the motor and improved upon the less than stellar original build using many original parts or better to make a reliable 300hp daily driver.

The list so far:
-97 A4 bock
-Rebuilt stock AEB head
-Pauter Rods
-007 Intake w/stock TB
-ATP Exhaust manifold
-2.5" DP to 3" back
-Ross forged pistons
-Cast AEB crank
-New oil pump
-Schrick Pan
-Light weight stock dia pulleys
-T304 A/R60
-DTA E48 management
-Large Modified Rig FMIC
-Turbosmart EBC E-boost2

I started it today. March 12th

Looks like a good build list, Happy tuning.

Got mine mostly back together this weekend.

I'm at 2500km and have been to redline a few times with just 15psi boost. Everyone agrees that it is damn fast. haha icon_headbang

Unfortunately it seems to burn some oil under boost so it looks as if I cooked a seal. It's not bad at all at 10psi and only becomes noticeable on full throttle and high boost. I didn't even notice it in the rearview and had a friend follow me to see it. I knew I was loosing some oil but it was only about a liter in 2000km

Update,

Well after 1.5 years and about 10,000km the engine is still running well and I've done numerous 20psi pulls. CV joints are starting to show signs of play and I've torn into a bunch of other things on the car to get it up to my liking. As of this writing I'm replacing the DTA 48 ecu and installing an Electromotive TechGT. Seems the E48 is OK for a race car but lacks certain features that are desirable in a street vehicle.
