twin plate clutch ???

Believe it or not
But in South Africa there ‘s a guy who makes a twin plate clutch ,,similar to AP tilton
There are two three pug plates (high carbon copper) whatever that means ,with the pressure lower (pressure) than the stock O2m units and the diameter smaller he reckons it works better and can hold more hp
Is there someone out there who uses a twin plate setup (every day driving) and can someone give me more info on this type of clutch setup

Clutchmasters here in the USA sells a full setup with a billet flywheel and such right off the shelf.
They have several advantages:
The pressure plate diaphram is designed specifically for racing and high RPM usage so they have a lot less tendancy to want to disengage at high rpm and make shifting impossible. Running two disks gives you ~double the torque capacity then a single disk, allowing you to lower the diameter and therefore the inertia... However, two disks certainly has more inertia then a single only marginally larger diameter disk.
They work very well for track use and drag use but on the street they are quite difficult to drive, they are very close to an on / off switch if you will.
