I currently run an ABF flywheel (like a g60) lightened on my own car...
what options are there along these lines?
run with a spec stage 3+ 228mm clutch setup on mk4 1.8t golf

where? how much? what makes are good?

stick with clutchmaster or something along those lines.

 spec makes garbage.

ok will have a search for something along those lines, although I have to say my garbage spec tage 3+ clutch works just fine on 435whp and circuit racing all last year.

maybe i was just lucky

You were.

Ive seen some of the stupidest problems with spec clutches. Poor heat treatment on the pressure plate spring for example, failed clutch surface rivets, nonsense like that.

 They have had serious quality control problems. A huge batch of S4 stage 3 clutch kits all failed within 6 months or so.

mine was late 2005 bought, and 2 x new ones just got in last week.
