Anyone have a trans technical manual for troubleshooting the transmission and that also has the electrical and oil schematics for the same.  Also, I need to know how to check for codes. I would appreciate it if this could be emailed to me and any input that you have to offer. I have an 01M that has a flare on a 3-4 shift. it was rebuilt and still has this problem.

The flare on 01M transmissions is usually associated with worn out solenoid valves in the valve body. Fault codes can be read with VAG-COM.
I do have a link to a complete service manual for 01M transmission but it's in russian. If you are interested, I can send you the link. It's 500+page pdf file.

20V18Tnut,

Could you email that link to CR125Honda@aol.com.   I have a 01M in a 98 Jetta.  I'm fixing some leaks and have the pan off now.  Need to remove the foil wire and could use some help.

Thanks, Ken
