DV port sizing vs size of turbo?
Is there a relationship on DV sizing and turbo size? just got mine running (driving) last night.. have some wastegate chatter I did'nt remember having before. Same DV-forge DV007P with yellow spring, has 25mm ports.. The feed pipe from turbo outlet is only 20mm tho.. (was before also on PE18020 I used to run)
Boost climbed in rapidly (its not tuned for this turbo at all yet, still PE18020 mapping) 3K 10psi boost and just after 4K the guage was coming back from offscale (when I glanced) - 30psi gauge.
DV is direct pumbed to intake mani (no solenoids in the way)
any suggestions? thanks

You may have to run 2 DV's. I'm thinking of doing the same. Or you can try the dual port plumb-back from turbosmart.

Cheers Don Wondering if the dual port turbosmart opens up the atmo vent as it closes off the recirc one, or whether its open as well as the recirc one. New motors feeling frisky... untuned at the moment, but spooled to 10psi boost by 3K and went berzerk from 4K off my 30psi gauge. Not driving it on boost until I am happy its not going to grenade.. MAF size too small (was maxed on my old PE1820) Venting this new turbo might some more. x2 is an option I guess.

Stock 19mm ports working fine so far on my setup, but I'll be switching to a Greddy Type S with 32mm ports soon.

I have the Type S. Use the flange and weld it to the IC pipe. DO NOT use the adapter from atp, it defeats the purpose of having a large DV. Recirc it with large dia. hose. Mine holds 25psi all day long and has been installed that way since day one of BT 2 years ago.

If I'm not misteaken, tony ran (or maybe runs) two stock bosch dv's on a relatively large turbo 1.8t car. It sounds like this setup hasn't failed him.
The redundancy of two BOV's sounds kinda nice if one fails, but it does add another failure mode to have to troubleshoot.

No, no adaptors Sean. It will be welded and have a full 1.25" recirc to the inlet.
