That was the time that the modified C5 runs. But now that i took his doors and crushed his ego, im not sure he will still be able to run his car without bursting into tears...

Little backstory, i had run into this guy on the street back before i fixed my fuel pump and was making very little power due to massive leanout issues. Anyways i spied him at a light ahead of me, noted he was on it and looking to boogie. So i caught up, gave him a shot of gas and we took off. I thought it was my buddy Doug in his modded Z06 because of the sound.

by 3rd he was walking me.

Turns out this was a C5 with longtubes, exhaust, cams, headwork, etc... After that he copped an attitude about me and a twin turbo G35 that had beaten him on the highway.

Calls me out friday night, and i put two cars on him on the launch, another car by the end of the 1/4.

He decides hes gonna run that same Z06 i ran the week before with his nitto555R . The z06 hammered him on the launch by a car or two due to his tires, and the C5 pulled him back a bit in 4rth, but not enough to win.

I finally nailed a good launch btw.... this 4000-4500 on the upswing crap the AW guys always harp on about is bullshit.... 5000rpm, drop and hammer.

Got a small issue with a power delay on the shift, not sure whats happening. Might be the clutch finally giving in. Car makes a hell of a lot more power than this clutch is really made for, plus all the street launches last year..  But i didnt notice the revs spiking up, just sort of a half second wait before power came back on. Full boost too, just took a second then started pulling.

come to think of it, my jetta used to do the same damn thing. Maybe its a software/DBW thing...

Sounds like you are having an interesting summer. Your delay prob could be the signs of clutch beginning to fail...or you can try increasing the Increasing Load Fuel tweak along with the Secondary fuel tweak to give quicker throttle response.
