got a K04 from fastaddiction

Well he put the K04 on yeasterday. APR K04 programming, APR VTune, andhe had already installed the Downpipe program. He installed a 4 bar FPR and colder plugs.

WHen first getting into the throttle you can feel a big change. But when you really get into the throttle holy smokes. Not sure what i am putting down for power with everything I have had done to the GTI, but i would have to say i got some significant gains.

I went on a cruise with some buddies, all of which were on crotch rockets, and though they did eventually "hand it to me", I relly got into it a few times and they said they were really impresssed with what they saw. THe exhaust note has changed, more bassier, more "pub pub pub" sounding. It was worth the 5-6 hours it took, though if John does alot more the time will get down. definately worth the money i put into it. I belive with everything involved, the turbo, the software, the plugs, 4 bar FPR, gakets and seals. everything came to around 1500. APR's kit is 1700. not trying to take anything away from APR cause i am using their programming but, John did it right.

I am very happy and I stilll have a grin on my face from this upgrade. THanx John.

Hell, last I knew you were going to scrap the whole turbo upgrade idea, but nice to hear a successful K04 story.  Any dyno plans in the future?

What trim spec Ko4 did you go with?

K04-01 not sure of a trim, its the smallest K04 out there.  same one that APR has on their site as well as Kinetic
