Mixed reviews. Definitly some work needed on WOT. I do believe tis due to the fact my turbos flow a hell of a lot more air than expected, compounded by the awesomness of the intercoolers i put on.
Have some trouble with boost at WOT
4500 will drop from 20psi to 15 5500 will drop to 10psi and hold to redline
Did some logs. o2 voltage was low. like 850-880mv thats low 13s AFR
Lemmiwinksed the fucker and dumped some more fuel in. But could never get it much past the low 13s for AFR... even with 199% increasing load it hardly affected AFR at all. 13AFR is supposed to be right on the mark for the ECU to start killing power.
timing was good with no significant pull except for the last run where one cylinder pulled a whole 2 degrees, and another pulled 5. Thats on 15-18 degrees total timing.
Car is running pretty good, cept i need a new file to add more fuel, and possibly take a second look at the boost map since something seems screwy there.
pulls hard to 5500 where it starts really turning down the boost, right in the meat of where these turbos make power.
Not bad for a first file actually. Idle is perfect even on 3 range colder plugs, and no popping, no backfiring, no part throttle weirdness. Thats actually the hardest part about tuning these cars.
In fact. The car burbles and pops LESS shifting to second than the stock file on stock fueling.
Did I mention the humidity and heat? Holy fuck I had to run the AC the whole time, i was sweating my ass off.
Here is a little idea of how good those intercoolers are:
Intake air temps at cruising speed were 40C about 10 over ambiant.
balls to the wall acceleration, they went up to about 49C at 6900 rpm
Anyways. The BAD news is that the file is not quite right. The GOOD news is, the safety systems of the ECU kicked in like they were supposed to and kept me from blowing up my car.
------
On a side note. After jacking up my car to change out the last of my original 02 sensors... Something must have shifted, perhaps due to the heat certain adhesives were softend up.
After completing the work and going for a test drive, with the AC blasting... I heard a CRAAAAACK.
I look over, and theres is fucking crack 5 inches long coming out the side of my windshield.
fuck.
Ah well. I wanted to replace it anyhow. It was sandblasted and was incredibly annoying when the sun or headlights reflect off the millions of pit marks.
EDIT: Mike says the AFR was more like 12.8:1

ok problem with boost seems to be more of an n75 duty cycle thing. As in figuring out what duty cycle it needs to be at to equal what boost.
Or i could be lazy and put an mbc on.

Well the turbos i have were a freak, one time thing.
Your best bet is to pick up some k04s from Clay, then have Buehnengineering rework them with k16 or k24 wheels, have the turbines clearanced or clipped.
Lastly, you WILL need to adjust the wastegates. Looks like everyone including me has run into this.
I slapped on the MBC today, and it would taper down to a max of 18psi at redline.
Id like to see more, so ill preload the wastegate springs a bit by tightening down the acutator rods.
The extra 8psi didnt feel massively more powerful though... but the real test will be running a few consistent mustang freinds of mine.

I've already talked to Jacob about a set of K04/K16, ported, zero clearance, etc. etc. definately going to go all out considering i only wanna do it once.
Glad to hear your car is running nice... I'm still debating what tuner shop is going to work on mine.
